Bernard V. Logsdon, age 64, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (June 21, 2017) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on February 14, 1953 in Grayson Co., KY, the son of the Rev. James and Pauline Oller Logsdon.
He was an automobile mechanic and farmer, who enjoyed playing golf, bowling and working on the farm, and was a member of the New Freedom General Baptist Church and also attended Smalls Grove Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Tina Jewell (Calvin) of Leitchfield, one son, Bernard V Logsdon Jr. (Sharal) of Aberdeen, Ohio, five grandchildren, Jessica, Cody and Caleb Jewell, Heather Richards and Tiffany McKenzie, six great grandchildren, his mother, Pauline Logsdon of Leitchfield, one brother, Richard Logsdon (Rhonda) of Bardstown, KY, two sisters, Cathy Mudd (Manuel) of Hodgenville, KY and Gloria Hockaday (Ralph) of Brandenburg KY and a special brother, Jeff Hester (Jodie) of Leitchfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sue Blain Logsdon, his father, Rev. James Logsdon, his brother, David Logsdon and a grandson, Dustin Bare.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (June 24, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Randell Deweese will be officiating. Burial will be in the Logsdon Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
