On Tuesday night at approximately 8:20, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested a Somerset man on 16 child porn charges.
After an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation, police said 24-year-old Brandon Hoskins was arrested on 15 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex act by a minor and one count of possession of matter portraying a sex act by a minor.
The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering Hoskins was uploading images of child sexual exploitation online. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
Each charge is a class D felony, punishable by one to five years in prison.
Hoskins was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center. No bond has been set in the case.
