Joseph Scott “Hopper” Basham, age 37, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (July 28, 2017) in Leitchfield. He was born on February 14, 1980 in Leitchfield, the son of Homer Ned
Basham and Sandra Grant.
He was a concrete worker, who enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, working on cars, and drawing. He loved spending time with his children. He attended Potter’s Hope Ministeries.
He is survived by his fiancé and soulmate, Natasha Decker of Leitchfield, his children, Joseph Scott Basham, Jr., Mya Clemons, Samantha Clemons, and Layla Clemons; his mother, Sandra Grant of Madisonville; father, Homer Ned Basham of Leitchfield; sister, Crystal Littlepage of Morton’s Gap; brother,
William Travis Basham; step-sister, Crystal Willis, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a niece, Alena Marline Asher Scott.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (August 2, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Broadway Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday.
