Winnie Mae Jinnett, age 81, of Big Clifty, KY, passed away Monday, (August 14, 2017) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on February 27, 1936 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Estel and Edna Higdon Mudd.
She worked as a babysitter and enjoyed crocheting and working puzzles. She was a member of the Mulberry Flats United Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, David Jinnett (Aggie) of Hodgenville, KY; two daughters, Rose Dorsey (Trent) of Big Clifty, KY and Phyllis Brown of Elizabethtown, KY; 5 grandchildren, Amber, Tyler and Caleb Jinnett and Julie and Jessica Dorsey; five brothers, Russell Mudd (Mary Ann), Orvil Mudd (Diane), Geraldine Mudd (Theresa), Robert Mudd (Roberta) and Charles Mudd; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Mudd. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, James M. Jinnett, Jr.; an infant daughter, Sherry Gail Jinnett; a son-in-law, Ron Brown; a brother, Winford Mudd; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Frank Mudd.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, (August 17, 2017) at the Mulberry Flats United Baptist Church. Bro. Garry Watkins will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mulberry Flats Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the Mulberry Flats United Baptist Church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
