First Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Jeremy Logsdon has announced his intention to run for Grayson County Attorney in the May 2018 Primary Election.

Logsdon, 38, has served as First Assistant Commonwealth Attorney for five years in the 46th Judicial District, which serves Grayson, Breckinridge and Meade Counties. He additionally serves as council for Twin Lakes Title.

His duties with the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office have included trying the most serious of felony cases.

Logsdon was admitted to the Kentucky Bar nine years ago after performing his undergraduate work at WKU before graduating from Western New England University Law School.

Logsdon is the Vice Chair of the Grayson County Republican Party and is Treasurer of the Grayson County Bar Association. He previously served as Clarkson City Attorney.

He is also assisting with legal work the Public Trails Association of Grayson County, Friends of the Grayson County Public Library and Leitchfield Future Leaders. The Clarkson resident additionally serves on the boards of the Grayson County Historical Society and Wings on a Prayer.

Logsdon is the son of David and Penny Williams Logsdon, of Short Creek. His brother, Taylor Logsdon, is a deputy with the Grayson County Sheriff's Office.

Logsdon, who graduated from Grayson County High School, is married to the former Tabitha Edwards. They have a daughter Kya and newborn son, Henry.
