Coy Newton, age 70 of Leitchfield, passed away Friday October, 13th 2017 at his residence. He was born December 14th 1946 in Grayson County, Kentucky, the son of Charlie & Pauline Saltsman Newton.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Newton, three children, Doug Newton (Stephanie), Pamela Gail Simmons (Bobby), & Shawn Newton, his mother, Pauline Newton, four grandchildren, two brothers, Jerry Newton (Debbie) & Lewis Newton (Nellie), and three sisters, Patty Watson (Arthur), Hilda Decker (Roscoe), & Judy Meredith (Mendell).
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Newton, two children, Linda & Brenda Newton, one grandchild, Joshua Newton, and two brothers, Glen & Jimmy Newton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday (Oct 18) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Saltsman Cemetery in Blowtown. Visitation will be held after 4:00 p.m., Monday, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
