The Grayson County Alliance (GCA) is seeking a motivated, caring individual to join its team as a part-time staff person in the position of Warehouse Manager at the Food Pantry.

GCA is a 501 c(3) non-profit established in 2000 whose mission is to serve the unmet needs of the lower income citizens of Grayson County by offering service that provide families with not just a hand out, but a hand up, giving critical support in their move to self-sufficiency

Job Requirements: Applicants must be energetic, dependable, and willing to work as part of a team comprised of staff and volunteers providing compassionate, positive service to clients. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older have access to a pick-up truck with a valid driver’s license, proof  of current insurance and pass a background check. Applicants need to be able to lift (50-80lbs). Position offers 80 hours per month starting pay is $8.00 per hour with mileage reimbursement and a 90 day probation period.

Desired Skills: Applicants must be friendly, able to problem solve and work well with other team members to find creative solutions. Food safety and/or handling experience preferred.  Basic customer service and computer skills required.

 Job Description: Job duties include but are not limited to general operations regarding supervision and assembly of food for distribution:

  • Pickup/receiving, storing, and reporting of all food donations received.
  •  Supervision of Volunteers and Trustees from the Grayson County Detention Center.
  • Provide direct client services during distribution and assist in maintain client database.
  • Answer phones, promote services, and advocate for low income families.
  • Reports to the Office Manager and Director.
