A southern Kentucky man who was nearly crushed inside a garbage truck has been arrested.
Public Works officials in Laurel County say 23-year-old Dalton Brown, of London, was sleeping in a dumpster early Tuesday morning when a London garbage truck came to empty the trash, with Brown still inside in the dumpster.
Brown, along with trash from the dumpster, was placed into the garbage truck but he woke up a few miles down the road and climbed out of the truck at the next stop, according to multiple media sources. Officials said if he had stayed inside the garbage truck he would have likely been crushed.
Police were notified and later learned that Brown was wanted out of Jackson County where he faced burglary charges. Brown was arrested and charged with criminal mischief in addition to the burglary arrest warrant out of Jackson County.
He is currently lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
