A Muhlenberg County man has been arrested after leading police on a pursuit.

Police say deputies went to a residence on Hazel Creek Road in Muhlenberg County in an attempt to serve 25-year-old Preston Allen, of Beech Creek, with several outstanding warrants for failure to appear.

Upon arriving at the residence, Allen apparently spotted law enforcement and fled the area. A pursuit began as Allen drove through the yards of nearby homes. He then drove around a house and hit a deputy sheriff’s cruiser, bringing the pursuit to an end.

Allen was arrested and charged with two counts of wanton endangerment, DUI, two counts of criminal mischief, and fleeing or evading police.

He was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.

There were no injuries reported.
