On Tuesday night at about 11:10, the Western Kentucky University Police Department was notified by Bowling Green police of shots fired in the area of Registry Apartments, just off Morgantown Road.

Witnesses told police they saw two black males running from the Registry, with another witness saying they heard shots being fired close to a vehicle in a nearby parking structure.

The initial investigation turned up no signs of a suspect or suspects, and no evidence was found indicating a shooting took place.

Then, on Wednesday afternoon, WKU Police was contacted by an individual who said they had witnessed the shooting. As a result, law enforcement located shell casings on College Heights Boulevard, near the intersection of University Boulevard, according to a report by WBKO.com.

Upon reviewing video footage of the area, police saw three unidentified suspects, and a Cadillac that were involved in the shooting.

There have been no injuries related to the shooting reported to police. No arrests have been made, but the investigation continues.
