Wednesday morning at approximately 3:21, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Carrier and North Patterson Road areas of Clarkson on the report of a vehicle driving through yards.

Upon arriving at the scene and searching the area, at 3:41, Deputy Fred Norder located a red 2003 Pontiac Grand Am parked on the lawn of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, located on Clifty Avenue. The driver of the vehicle, 28-year-old Jamie Rae Puckett, of Clarkson, was found in the driver’s seat of the car, Deputy Norder said.

Deputy Norder administered a field sobriety test to Puckett, which she failed.

A search of Puckett’s person resulted in Deputy Norder finding three used syringes, with a search of the Pontiac revealing three more used syringes and an open container of beer, according to Deputy Norder.

Puckett was arrested and charged with DUI (with aggravating circumstances), her third such offense, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
