On Saturday afternoon at approximately 12:30, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a tip on the whereabouts of a fugitive wanted out of Butler County.

Responding to the tip, Chief Deputy Jarrod Mudd, Deputy Taylor Logsdon and Kentucky State Trooper Scott Rafferty arrested 34-year-old Tony White Jr., of Morgantown, at a residence on Yeaman Road.

According to the GCSO, White was wanted out of Butler County on charges including escape, flagrant non-support, being a persistent felony offender, failure to comply with Kentucky’s sex offender registry, fleeing or evading police, and multiple other felony and drug offenses.

The bonds on those charges totaled well over $100,000.

In a related matter, a search warrant was obtained by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force, which led to the arrest of 32-year-old April Lacefield, of Caneyville, who was allegedly harboring White.

Lacefield was charged with hindering apprehension, possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.  Another male subject, Tony White Sr., was cited into court on various charges, police said.

Authorities added that it’s likely more drug charges will be applied to White Jr. upon presentation of the case to the Grayson County Grand Jury.

Lacefield and Tony White Jr. were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center. White has since been transported to the Butler County Jail.

The Leitchfield Police Department assisted at the scene.
