There are officially 3 weekends left before everyone becomes completely consumed with all things Christmas. Now I know a lot of people are already in the Holiday spirit, but what if you are looking to savor Fall just a bit longer? Well, here are 10 fabulous Fall activities you and your family can do in the month of November.

  1. Go on a hike

The weather right now is perfect. Cool enough to keep you comfortable, but not frigid like those infamous winter months. Take advantage of the great temps and get outside for a family hike. Take in the crisp air and gorgeous foliage with those you love the most.

  1. Jump in a Leaf Pile

Simple? Yes. Childish? Of course. Fun? Definitely. There is nothing more nostalgic than jumping in a huge mound of leaves and just letting yourself be free. Raking leaves is never a fun chore, but make it more tolerable by doing a huge cannonball in the leaf pile when you’re done.

  1. Have a bonfire

Snuggled under a blanket with your family next to a warm fire is the perfect ending to any night. Share stories, share laughs, but don’t share the roasted marshmallows…well, that has always been my rule anyway.

  1. Visit an Orchard

This is my absolute favorite Fall festivity. I love the smell of the apples and the corn maze is always so much fun. This simple activity will be a sure way to make lasting memories with your family. Also, picking all those apples will make you hungry, which means it’s time to make a delicious apple pie when you get home!

  1. Picnic Lunch in Your Local Park

Picnic’ing in the park is one of the most wholesome traditions around. Pair that with a warm blanket and delicious fall soup or chili and you have a recipe for a Saturday of Family Fun.

  1. Volunteer at a Local Food Pantry or Shelter

November is the month to be thankful. Thankful for our family, friends, and blessings. Share some of that love with those who need your help the most. Thanksgiving time is a busy season for everyone, but try to take some time and give back to those in your community.

  1. Make your own caramel apples.

Set up a caramel apple bar at home and let your family go wild! Obviously have the apples and caramels, but also include nuts, cookie crumbles, chocolate chips, marshmallows-whatever your heart desires.

  1. Go on a bike ride

In today’s world, riding bikes are a thing of the past, but in my opinion, it is time to bring this “old timey” tradition back. Riding bikes allows you to slow down and enjoy all the scenery that the world has to offer.

  1. Attend a Fall Festival

Just because Halloween has ended, doesn’t mean that all Fall festivities are over. Hang out at a Fall Festival with games, sweet treats, and loads of family fun. Plus, going on a hayride is always the best part of Fall!

  1. Play a flag football game

Fall is Football Season. It’s always on the TV and on everyone’s mind, so go out and make your own game! I guarantee there will be lots of laughs!

We have just a few more weeks to get out and enjoy all the pumpkin spice and everything nice, so take advantage of it and plan a Fall Family Fun Day!

Until next time.
