Kentucky State Police is looking for an escapee from the Marshall County Jail.

On Monday night at approximately 8:30, police responded to the jail after 20-year-old Dakota W. Reeder, of Simpsonville, escaped the facility.

Reeder is described as a white male standing 5-6 and weighing 140 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, dark tennis shoes and a black long sleeve shirt.

If Reeder, who has multiple arrests and convictions for theft and burglary, as well as several probation violations, travels toward his hometown in Shelby County he could pass through the area.

Anyone who spots Reeder is asked to contact Kentucky State Police or local law enforcement.
