Hartford man arrested on meth trafficking charges after driving drunk

Sunday night at approximately 7:45, Kentucky State Police conducted a traffic stop on eastbound Western Kentucky Parkway, in Ohio County, on a vehicle speeding and driving recklessly.

Police said the driver of the vehicle, 38-year-old Scott Wayne Leach Jr., of Hartford, was driving while intoxicated and resisted arrest. A search of Leach and his vehicle revealed he was in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Leacg was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (meth), possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, and DUI, with aggravating circumstances.

He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
