Grayson County Girl Scouts would like to invite everyone to Thursday night’s Cookie Crunch and dessert auction fundraiser to be held at The Rock, located behind Leitchfield United Methodist Church.
The Cookie Crunch will offer a cookie eating contest involving several local officials, office-seekers, educators, and business people, including Jamie Bratcher, Charlotte Willis, Becky Mercer, Alex Lovell, Alvin Dockery, Jason Dennis, Heidi Baldwin, Jonathan Williams, Sherry Weedman, and Terry and Angel Hayes.
The dessert auction, which begins at 5:30, is one of the key fundraisers for Grayson County Girl Scouts, as the money raised will help pay for the girls to attend camp.
Immediately following the dessert auction the cookie crunch will begin, and later in the evening, Girl Scouts will “bob for Teddy Grahams,” which will be buried in a whipped cream pie (think bobbing for apples only with whipped cream and Teddy Grahams).
“It will be a night of fun and festivities, and even Santa Claus will be there,” Girl Scout leader DeAnna Lasley said.
