Tuesday night at approximately 7:30, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested a Somerset man on 11 child porn charges.
Police said 73-year-old Derek R. George was arrested on charges related to possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor, and distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.
George was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation after authorities discovered the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.
George was charged with 10 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and one count of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
Each charge is a class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison.
He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
