A man is dead after a fight and shooting involving a grandfather and grandson in Laurel County.
The shooting occurred at a home on Arthur Ridge Road in East Bernstadt, about 12 miles north of London in the Daniel Boone National Forest.
Police said the grandfather, Tony Radford, was arguing with his grandson, 26-year-old Anthony Ryan Thompson, at around 7:00 Sunday morning. At some point during the argument the two became engaged in a scuffle, and police say a gun was fired, with a round striking Thompson in the chest, according to multiple media reports.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Laurel County Coroner’s Office.
No arrest was made, but officials will present the case to the Laurel County Grand Jury for possible indictment.
