Donald O. Lindsey, 91, of Leitchfield, formerly of Big Reedy, passed away at 4:30 PM Dec. 17, 2017 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a retired teacher at Sunfish School, Butler County High School and Fourth District School, a cave guide at Mammoth Cave National Park, a member of KEA, a member of NEA and an army veteran of World War II. He was a son of the late William Pearlie Lindsey and Emma Bolton Lindsey and the husband of the late Joyce Rich Lindsey. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred Lindsey and Hoyt Lindsey; and two sisters, Vida Tomes and Jeanetta Harvison.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Big Reedy Church of Christ, where he was a member, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home.
Surviving are a son, John Lindsey of Big Reedy; a brother, Tuck Lindsey of Palmyra, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
