Halbert Lee Langdon, age 65, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (December 17, 2017) at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown. He was born on August 5, 1952 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of the late Rev. Ed Langdon and Barbara Ruth Langdon McClure.
He had retired from Southern States after 25 years of service to the farmers in the community. He also worked as a correction officer at the Hardin County Detention Center. He loved to fish, loved being a home-body, and was an avid U.K. basketball fan. He was a member of the Unity Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his son, CJ Langdon of Leitchfield; mother, Barbara McClure of Leitchfield; brother, Joey McClure (Holly) of Caneyville; the mother of his son, and love of his life, Janet Langdon of Leitchfield; his niece, Serenity McClure, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Ed Langdon, and his step-father, Harry McClure; and his sister, Marsha Langdon.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (December 21, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Billy Hack will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
