Martha Ashley Meredith, 73, of Sweeden passed away at 10:28 AM Dec. 20, 2017 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a former DESA employee and a homemaker. She was a daughter of the late Bert Ashley and Jewel Stewart Ashley and the wife of the late Noel E. Meredith. She was preceded in death by a sister, June Houchin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday and after 9 AM Friday at the church. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Meredith (Tim) of Bowling Green; a granddaughter, Payton Spear of Bowling Green; four brothers, Frank Ashley of Brownsville, Michael Meredith (Ruth Ann) of Mayfield, Minor Ashley of Sweeden and Tim Ashley of Cub Run; and several nieces and nephews.
