Delphia Joyce Mattingly, age 96, (wife of the late James (Joby) Mattingly), of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away Monday, (January 1, 2018) in Elizabethtown.

She was born on February 27, 1921 in Upton, KY, the daughter of the late Willis Mitchell and Elsie Mabe Joyce.
She was a housewife and homemaker, who enjoyed Quilting, gardening, working on the farm and cooking and her little Chihuahua dogs; she has lived in Hart, Hardin and Grayson Counties and California and Colorado; she was of
the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Mattingly Decker and her son-in- law, Dennis of Elizabethtown KY, her grandchildren, Terri Gardener of Louisville, KY, Patricia Ann Mattingly of Lexington, KY, Trent Dewayne Decker of Brandenburg, KY and Donovan Warren Decker, of Elizabethtown, one brother, Donald Joyce (Juanita) of Leitchfield, two special nieces, Shirley Mattingly Smith (George) and Linda Mattingly Watkins (Garry), several great nieces and nephews and a special friend, Barbara Mitchell.

Other than her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son  W. T. Mattingly, her grandchildren, Tommy and Kelly Mattingly, one brother, Calvin Russell Joyce (Marlene) and one sister, Ruby Joyce Nugent (Dorsey).

Funeral services will be at 2:00 (CST) p.m. Thursday, (January 4, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Garry Watkins will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
