Beaver Dam man arrested after cutting store clerk

A Beaver Dam man has been arrested after cutting a store clerk.

Sunday night at approximately 8:00, Beaver Dam Police responded to a reported stabbing at the Fastway/Taco Bell store in Beaver Dam. When police arrived, officers found a store clerk sitting in a chair, holding a towel to his stomach where he had been cut, according to a report at the Ohio County Monitor. The clerk identified the suspect as 61-year-old Gary Hornsby, of Beaver Dam.

Police quickly located Hornsby and took him to the store for identification, after which he was arrested and charged with assault.

He’s being held in the Ohio County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.

The victim was transported to Ohio County Hospital.
