Fordsville woman charged with gun, drug charges; passenger busted on meth charge

On Saturday night, Kentucky State Police conducted a traffic stop in Fordsville on a driver who failed to properly signal.

According to police, after pulling the vehicle over, authorities came into contact with the driver, 37-year-old Jamie N. Leach, of Fordsville, and determined she was driving under the influence. A search of the vehicle revealed Leach was in possession of “several” firearms, marijuana and an open alcoholic beverage container.

The vehicle’s passenger, 35-year-old Jeremiah L. Dunn, also of Fordsville, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Both suspects were arrested, with Leach charged with DUI, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of marijuana and having an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, along with traffic-related violations. Dunn was charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth) and tampering with physical evidence.

Both were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center but have since been released.
