On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 3:35, the Leitchfield Police Department and Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Grayson County school bus versus vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Brandenburg Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, Officer Chase Melton found that a school bus and Pontiac Grand Am, being driven by Sandi Weber, of Caneyville, had sideswiped.

According to Melton, the school bus had just finished turning around in the Dollar Store parking lot and was turning right onto Brandenburg Road. At that moment, the southbound Grand Am approached with its blinker on, seemingly indicating it was turning into the Dollar Store.

The school bus then proceeded to turn onto Brandenburg Road when, at the last second, Weber changed her mind, deciding not to turn, resulting in the two vehicles colliding.

The school bus was nearly finished with its route and had only one child on board, who, along with both drivers, was uninjured.
