GCHS Future Problem Solving Team advances to state competition

The Grayson County High School Future Problem Solving Team will advance to KAAC Governor’s Cup State competition thanks to its first place tie at regional competition.

The Quick Recall team came in third after a close round with previous state champion Daviess County. Overall, the team placed third in total number of school points.

FPS Team members are Amanda Fulp, Sarah Kiper, Emily Logsdon, and Carly Mann. The FPS team is coached by Ellen Thomas.

Alex Dennis also advanced to State competition in written assessment, after he placed third in Arts & Humanities and second in Language Arts. Dennis was invited to compete at the NAQT Individual Player National Championship in Chicago in April.

The high school academic team is coached by head coach Sharon Sloan and assistant coaches Erina Duvall, Priscilla Gordeuk and Bill Newsome.
