Leitchfield Mayor William Thomason announced at Monday night’s City Council meeting that a new industry is coming to Grayson County.
While Mayor Thomason said he could not yet reveal the name of the company, it will be located on 10 acres on Kenneth H. Goff Drive and employ approximately 30 people.
As an incentive for the company to make the move, the city will pay the industry $1,000 for the first 30 employees hired.
Construction on the company’s building will begin almost immediately.
“This was one of the last things I wanted to do to help out the community” before I leave office, Mayor Thomason said. He also stated that the name of the company will be revealed at the next regularly scheduled City Council meeting on April 2.
