Peggy (Shepherd) Bratcher, 70, of Caneyville, passed away Wednesday, March 21 st , 2018 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.
She was born on Wednesday, April 30 th , 1947 in Louisville, the daughter of the late Walter E. and Mary (Douglas) Shepherd. Peggy attended the Free Zion General Baptist Church. She was a retired seamstress and loved to garden and tend to her flowers.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Donald Bratcher; two sons, Danny Bratcher (Charlotte) of Caneyville and Norman Bratcher (Tammy) of Falls of Rough; two brothers, Stevie Shepherd of Pekin, IN and Joey Shepherd of Caneyville; two sisters, Betty Copeland of Rockport, IN and Lisa Meredith of Louisville; five grandchildren, Dana Beatty (Nathan), Trena Bratcher, Tamara Bratcher, Nathan Bratcher and Daniel Bratcher; three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Allie and “Little Britches” and her special dog, Jake.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry Shepherd, Stanley Shepherd, Donald Shepherd and Samuel Shepherd and two sisters, Patricia Turner and Marsha Tate.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 24 th at 1:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Phillip Crume will be officiating. Burial will be in the McCanless Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Friday after 2:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until time of service.
