We are officially in the blooming, blossoming, beautiful season of SPRING- Well… according to the calendar we are, but as we can all see, there is snow on the ground this morning, so it doesn’t quite feel like it just yet. It seems like we have waited forever for this moment to arrive, and as of yesterday, we are officially here (technically speaking). If you are anything like me, when Spring arrives, you are ready to start brightening up your home with bright colors and pretty floral decorations. I hung my Spring wreath on the door yesterday and I could just feel those winter blues melt away from me.
I found a great article on Country Living that listed tons of amazing crafts that you can make to brighten your home and bring those great Spring feelings straight to your door. - Colander Planter– a very different, but super cute, way to display your new Spring blooms. Plus, what a great way to reuse some of those kitchen utensils that you weren’t using, but couldn’t bring yourself to toss out.
- Rainboot Door Decor– take that pair of rainboots just sitting in your closet and transform them into a unique door hanger that is sure to catch your guests’ attention.
- Chic Cement Steps– don’t settle for boring concrete steps when you you can easily combine colorful spray paint and a stencil to make designed stepping stones- the perfect addition to any patio area.
- Fork and Spoon Curtain Holder– after washing all your curtains during Spring Cleaning, try this vintage way of holding back your curtains to let the sunshine in. Its subtle style will last all season long.
- Framed Flower Pine Cones– this is a great craft to try with the kids. Take a spring hike and collect as many pine cones as you can carry and then come back home to paint them. Let each child put their own personal touch on this crafty form of natural art. It will be a treasured memory for many years!
- Bird Feeders with Flair– show your feathered friends that you really care by creating different shapes of bird feeders. Use a cookie cutter to outline and then add in your birds’ favorite seeds and snacks.
- Umbrella wreath– such a simple, but adorable, craft that really says “SPRING”!
