On Thursday, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal single-vehicle accident near the 10000 block of Rochester Road, in Beaver Dam.
According to police, a 2003 Jeep Wrangler was traveling north on Rochester Road when the vehicle left the road in a curve, striking a utility pole and overturning several times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by the Ohio County Coroner’s Office.
The preliminary investigation by the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office shows that high speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
The name of the driver is being withheld pending the notification of family.
