Dennis Newton, age 69, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018, at his home.
He was born on March 13, 1949 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Raymond Newton, and Sarah “Tommie” Newton Embry & Wilford Embry. Dennis was a construction worker who enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Louisville athletics.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Ellen Newton; daughters, Melissa Walls (Johnny), Melanie Clark (Donnie), Monica Grant (Eric), and Megan Newton; son Odie Newton; grandchildren Cody Walls (Elizabeth Sweet), Brittany Collier (Joseph), Amanda, Victoria and Donald, Jr. Clark, Elijah Decker, Jordan and Natalie Grant; great-grandchildren Abby, Lincoln and Zachary Collier and Audree Walls; siblings Sandra Price, Bill Embry (Denise), Jeanie Embry and Pumpkin Rough; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother in law, Don Price.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Doug Price will be officiating.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until time of services.
