Elbert Nelson “Boots” Beamer, age 90 of Leitchfield, passed away Sunday, March 25th 2018 a the Springview Health & Rehab Center in Leitchfield. He was born September 1st 1927 in Louisville, KY the son of John & Laura Leachman Beamer. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of the American Legion Post 81 & VFW Iroquois Post.
He is survived by his son, Bob Beamer, two grandchildren, J.W. O’Neal & Susie O’Neal, five great grandchildren, Madison, Lindsey, Malorie, Jonah, & Lacey, many nieces & nephews, and a host of friends at the American Legion Post 81.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Shartzer Beamer, his brothers, John, Roman, & Joe Beamer, and his sister, Katherine Patterson.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Watson and Hunt Funeral Home (2373 Elizabethtown Rd., Leitchfield, KY 42754).
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Watson and Hunt Funeral Home.
