Easter is swiftly approaching and it’s time (possibly past time) to start thinking about Easter Baskets and the contents to fill them. As you very well know, there are elements that make an Easter Basket great, such as the perfect combination of salty and sweet snacks and just the right mixture of needed essentials and fun toys.

When I was a kid, Easter morning was amazing because not only would I receive toys, such as coloring books and markers, but I also got socks and hair clips, which benefited me all year long. So, what items need to be included in your kids’ baskets to help you achieve that “WOW” factor on Easter Morning?

I read an article from Better Homes and Gardens that listed some fun Easter Basket ideas for parents to pass along to the Easter Bunny. They broke the list into two categories: Traditional and Creative. So, I have chosen elements from both to share with you. Check them out and tell me what you think in the comments below:

Traditional:

  • Chocolate Rabbits
  • Jelly Beans
  • Small Stuffed Animal (I always got sheep. I loved it!)
  • Bubbles
  • Sidewalk Chalk
  • Jump Rope

Creative:

  • Bath Toys
  • Temporary Tattoos (Easter themed of course)
  • Lip Gloss or Nail Polish
  • A Homemade Coupon for a Dinner of Your Kid’s Choice
  • A Book from a Popular Series- this way you can continue to buy the series as part of an Easter tradition
  • A Treasure Hunt Egg- Leave a note in one the eggs that takes your kids on a fun treasure hunt through the house to find a prize!

What do you think of these ideas? Or, what are some of the things your kids love to get in their Easter Baskets? Tell me in the comments!
