State police conduct welfare check in Daviess Co. and find fugitive hiding in closet

On Monday afternoon, Kentucky State Police responded with social services to a residence in the 500 block of West 5TH Street in Sacramento on a welfare check.

Police said while at the home, troopers located an unknown man hiding in a closet. Further investigation revealed the person to be 44-year-old Rodney K. Crick, of Bremen, who had outstanding probation violation warrants and a failure to appear felony drug possession warrant.

A search of Crick revealed methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia on his person. according to authorities.

He was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, his second such offense), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
