Bro. David L. King, age 75, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Saturday, (April 14, 2018) at his home in Caneyville.

He was born on February 07, 1943 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Cyrus and Henrietta Hawkins King.

He was a pastor of several churches and worked in HVAC, both for himself and with Bel Cheese. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the New Freedom Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Duvall King, of Caneyville; four daughters, Deborah “Red” Hayes (Dennis), Becky Tomes (Timmy Elwood), Pamela Crain Allen, and Judy Hudson (Michael) all of Caneyville; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leon King of Leitchfield, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Asa, James, Cyrus Jr., and Joseph King; and two sisters, Cynthia Stice and Irene Clark.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (April 18, 2018) at the New Freedom Baptist Church on Sadler Road in Leitchfield. Bros. Amos Alsman and Denver Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Freedom Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the New Freedom Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
