Munfordville man suspected of series of car break-ins arrested after police respond to suspicious person complaint

According to Hart County Sheriff Boston Hensley, a suspect in a series of vehicle break-ins in and around Horse Cave has been arrested.

Police arrested 44-year-old Dewayne F. McBride, of Munfordville, after responding to a suspicious person walking down a road in the early morning hours.

McBride was charged with 14 counts of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property (firearm), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, criminal trespass, and being a persistent felony offender, along and a probation violation.

He was lodged in the Hart County Jail on three cash bonds totaling $40,500.
