Ohio Co. man arrested on drug charges after walking into oncoming traffic

On Saturday night at approximately 8:00, Kentucky State Police responded to a complaint of a man walking in the middle of Goshen Road, just west of Beaver Dam.

When police arrived on the scene, authorities observed 38-year-old Carlos E. Burnette, of Centertown, walking into oncoming traffic. After making contact with Burnette, police located methamphetamine and a glass pipe on his person.

He was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth), public intoxication (excluding alcohol) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was transported and lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center but has since been released.
