Woman arrested after leading police on chase through Owensboro

A woman has been jailed after leading police on a chase through Owensboro.

At approximately 9:00 Sunday morning, police attempted to execute a traffic stop on a Ford Taurus, being driven by 25-year-old T’Naya Griffith, of Owensboro, for having an expired registration plate.

Griffith fled, leading police on a pursuit through Owensboro before crashing into an embankment. She then fled authorities on foot, but was quickly captured, according to police.

Griffith was charged with fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment and reckless driving along with several other traffic violations.

She was also served with three outstanding warrants and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center on three bonds totaling $7,250.’
