The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of one of their police dogs, Kane.
Police said the dog was found unresponsive by his handler at the handler’s home. Kane was rushed to his veterinarian for emergency medical care, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
The body has been sent for a necropsy in order to determine the cause of death.
Kane’s death is considered by investigators to be suspicious.
