Carol Ann Cummings, age 65, of Rineyville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, (May 3, 2018) at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
She was born on January 16, 1953, in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late David and Mary Elliott Mattingly. She was a former factory worker at Vermont American and Summit Polymer. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Cummings of Rineyville; and four children, Robert Tucker (Robin) of Versailles, KY, Kristy Parsons of Elizabethtown, Michael Tucker (Ashley) and Rebecca Cummings, both of Rineyville; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Roger Mattingly of Leitchfield, KY; three sisters, Linda Blanton
(Dewayne) of White Mills, KY, Geneva Bowry (Earl) of Hopkinsville, KY, and Christine Aldridge, of Elizabethtown. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Cameron Franke; three brothers, Carl, Frank, and Roy Mattingly; a sister, Virginia Smiley, and two infant sisters, Mable Joyce and Dorthy Faye Mattingly.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday (May 7, 2018) at Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. Billy Curl will be officiating. Burial will be in the Eveleigh Cemetery.
Visitation will be at from 12:00 p.m. Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
