Wednesday afternoon at approximately 5:00, Kentucky State Police responded to a report of a man passed out behind the wheel of a car on High Drive in Beaver Dam.

When police arrived on the scene, authorities found 27-year-old Danny L. Miller, of Beaver Dam, in the driver’s seat with his car door open, and feet hanging out of the vehicle, according to police. Miller’s four-year-old child was also in the vehicle.

Miller was not responsive but the Trooper was able to wake him up.

During the ensuing investigation, police determined Miller had operated his vehicle under the influence. As Miller was being arrested, police located methamphetamine and various opioid prescription pills.

Miller was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, opiates), having a prescription drug not in its proper container, wanton endangerment, DUI (with aggravating circumstances), and possession of drug paraphernalia and lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.

He’s being held on a $5,000 cash bond.
