Grayson County High School has been named one of U.S. News & World Report’s Best High Schools (Bronze) for the fourth year in a row.

Fewer than 30 percent of schools nationwide earn the “Best” badge each year, which is widely recognized as a symbol of excellence in education.

According to the publication’s website, rankings evaluate public high schools nationwide to identify those that best serve all of their students. Those making the list excel in three main areas: Exceeding expectations on state proficiency tests, offering challenging coursework and student graduation rates.

Students from nationally recognized schools graduate at rates 12 percentage points higher, on average, than students at other schools throughout the country.
