Elizabethtown man indicted on murder charge for shooting unarmed man during argument

An Elizabethtown man who allegedly shot and killed an unarmed man in early April has been indicted on a murder charge by the Hardin County Grand Jury.

Police said 33-year-old Brad­ley Joseph Anderson was indicted on a murder charge, along with first-degree wanton endangerment, in the shooting death of 26-year-old Stanley McFalda Jr., of Vine Grove.

When officers arrived on the scene at 9:30 the night of April 5, authorities found McFalda deceased on the sidewalk in front of a residence in the 900 block of Greenway Drive, in Elizabethtown. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities said an investigation revealed that McFalda was involved in a verbal altercation with Anderson, in front of Anderson’s residence, according to the News Enterprise.

McFalda was unarmed at the time of the shooting, authorities said.

Anderson is being held in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
