State police seize large quantity of meth, guns in raid in Owensboro

Tuesday night at approximately 6:00, Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 4600 block of New Hartford Road, in Owensboro.

During a search of the property, police located and seized a large quantity of packaged methamphetamine, with price lists, bundled currency and a variety of firearms, according to authorities.

Arrested was 48-year-old Benedict Medley, of Owensboro, who was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), two counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center where he’s being held on two bonds totaling $75,000.
