Police are looking for a murder suspect after an elderly Pulaski County man was found dead in his home.

Friday morning, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check on 87-year-old Arlie Owens, of Burnside, after a relative asked police to check on him. He was found deceased.

Owens had been robbed several times, as recently as a couple of weeks ago, according to media reports. Police are currently looking for a 2000 Ford Ranger pickup truck, bearing license plate number 993-XWT, that was stolen from Owens’ property “sometime a few days before May 25,” according to the Pulaski Co. Sheriff’s Office. Police said the truck has a black toolbox in the bed.

The suspect in the theft of the truck “is a person of interest in an active homicide investigation,” authorities said.

Anyone who spots the truck is asked to not approach the vehicle, but to immediately notify local law enforcement, or the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office at 606-678-5145.
