Willis J. Dudgeon, age 87, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Wednesday (July 4, 2018) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.
He was born on March 12, 1931, Hardin County, KY, the son of the late John Willis and Pansy Opal Dennis Dudgeon.
He was a farmer and automobile mechanic. He and his wife, Lucille Lindsey Dudgeon, were married for 66 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, hunting ginseng, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved chewing his Warren County tobacco. His dog, Peanut was his loyal companion. He attended Mt. Hebron Gospel Mission.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Lindsey Dudgeon; children, Marilyn Farris (Mike) of Clarkson, James (Bub)Dudgeon (Linda) of Caneyville, Willis (Dan) Dudgeon (Patty) of Leitchfield, Rick Dudgeon (Sharon) of Short Creek, Randy (Mo) Dudgeon (Molly) of Leitchfield, Connie (Cookie) Dudgeon of Short Creek, Johnny Dudgeon (Joetta) of Short Creek, Kenny Dudgeon (Kathy) of Short Creek, Pete Dudgeon of Short Creek, Janice (Angel) Spencer (Wade Nugent) of Duff, Leonard Dudgeon (Tina) of Short Creek, and Joey Dudgeon (Jennifer) of Short Creek; nineteen grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and step-sister, Clydene Cooper.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Nina Dudgeon, two brothers Delbert and Albert Dudgeon, and his sister, Pauline South.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, (July 9, 2018) at Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. Billy Carter will be officiating. Burial will be in the Dudgeon Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. noon to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
