Sunday morning at approximately 4:00, Kentucky State Police responded to Lick Branch Road in Barren County after a man was found deceased on the side of the road.
Police said the victim, 40-year-old Kevin Miller, of Scottsville, had suffered a gunshot wound to his back. A KSP investigation revealed that Miller had been involved in an altercation with 52-year-old Bobby Conatser, of Glasgow, on the roadway, about two miles southeast of Glasgow.
During the course of the altercation, Conatser brandished a shotgun and shot Miller in the back.
Police arrested Conatser and charged him with murder. He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
