The Grayson County Grand Jury recently returned indictments against more than 12 suspects, including the woman who rammed her former boyfriend’s car, with him and a woman inside, and threatened to kill them in an April 29 incident near Caneyville.

Indicted on two counts of wanton endangerment and criminal mischief was 29-year-old Elanda Tidwell, of Madisonville. According to police, Tidwell arrived at her ex-boyfriend’s home on Sipes School Road and “threatened to kick in the door of the home.” Tidwell’s ex-boyfriend, along with his current girlfriend, attempted to flee the residence but Tidwell “rammed” the current girlfriend’s vehicle with her car several times (while the pair occupied the vehicle).

Tidwell’s arrest citation says she caused in excess of $1,000 damage to the vehicle.

The two victims left the residence in the damaged vehicle, with Tidwell following on Sipes School Road and then onto Richland Road, before the suspect began traveling west on Hwy 62 toward Ohio County.

According to the arrest citation, Tidwell’s ex and his girlfriend then followed Tidwell so as to give Grayson County Central Dispatch an accurate location on the suspect. At some point, Tidwell, slowed by a horse and buggy on the roadway, stopped her vehicle, exited the car, and threatened to kill her ex-boyfriend and his current girlfriend. Tidwell then got back into her car and drove into Ohio County.

Upon Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Norder arriving on scene, he requested an Ohio County deputy locate Tidwell (law enforcement had been given a couple of different addresses Tidwell may have fled to in Ohio County).

Soon after, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office found Tidwell and took her into custody. She was transported back to Grayson County and into the custody of Sgt. Norder.
