Tuesday morning at approximately 2:00, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of St. Anthony Road on the report of a single-vehicle accident.

Upon arriving at the scene, Deputy Dylan Bohn found a Dodge Dakota pickup truck, being driven by 57-year-old Michael Mudd, of Caneyville, had left the roadway.

Mudd was traveling north on Anneta Road, and where the roadway becomes St. Anthony Road, and in a slight curve, the vehicle drove onto the shoulder of the roadway. Mudd corrected the truck, but eventually lost control and left the roadway, entering a ditch and striking an embankment before hitting and jumping a culvert.

A passenger in the truck, 35-year-old Brent Lambert, of Tar Hill, was taken by private means to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Mudd said he thought the two may have hit heads during the wreck.

Mudd refused medical treatment.
