Two Breckinridge County teenagers have been jailed after being caught breaking into several vehicles in Elizabethtown.

The two suspects, Tyler Lawrence and Hamza Nagby, both 19, were captured early Thursday morning as police were conducting surveillance in Lakewood Subdivision, where Nagdy was observed attempting to gain entrance “into multiple vehicles,” according to the News-Enterprise. He was found inside of a vehicle when he was arrested. Police also witnessed Lawrence breaking into cars.

Nagdy was charged with 10 counts of theft by unlawful taking of contents from a motor vehicle, and 10 counts of second-degree criminal trespassing. Lawrence was charged with three counts of theft by unlawful taking of contents from a motor vehicle, and three counts of third-degree criminal trespassing.

Elizabethtown Police have been investigating multiple vehicle break-ins over the past several weeks, but police have not said if they think Lawrence and Nagby are responsible for all of the break-ins.
